Often I am asked: “How many cases have you won?” I always find that question interesting; but also difficult to explain.  Winning is relative and winning occurs when your client’s rights are aggressively defended and the court’s final sentence reflects favorably for my client.

Nonetheless, to answer the question in a different manner, below is a brief list of some of the cases I have successfully handled in Ohio’s state and Federal courts:

State vs. Roper, Capital Murder, defendant who stood trial four times (2001); Client was facing execution.

State vs. Wagner Accused along with her mother with the Aggravated Murder of a patient. Aggravated Murder charges were dismissed (2004); Client was facing life imprisonment

State vs. Smith Aggravated Murder charges dismissed after successful Evidentiary Hearing (2005); Client was facing life imprisonment.

State vs. Guiser Aggravated Murder Charges dismissed (2005); Client was facing life imprisonment.

State vs. Phillips Accused of two counts of Aggravated Murder, both charges dismissed (2007); Client was facing life imprisonment.

State vs. Greer All drug charges dismissed after Evidentiary Hearing (2001); Client was facing significant jail time.

State vs. Swain Not Guilty of Drug Trafficking charges (2002); Client was facing significant jail time.

State vs. Mann Possession, Trafficking and Major Drug Offender specification charges dismissed (2004); Client was facing mandatory ten (10) years incarceration – no jail time.

State vs. Davis Possession and major Drug Offender charges dismissed – no jail (2005); Client was facing mandatory ten (10) years incarceration – no jail time.

United States of America vs. Vasquez, client accused of transporting 13 kilograms of cocaine, case dismissed after Suppression Hearing (2005); Client was facing 30 years – case dismissed!

State vs. Ruvalcaba client serves six months for possession with intent to distribute 200 lbs. of marijuana (2006); Client was facing mandatory eight (8) years jail.

State vs. Jenkins all drug charges dismissed (2006); Client was facing significant jail time.

State vs. Goff, Stepfather who was charged with the artificial insemination of his stepdaughter.  Case covered by CNN, Court TV, Larry King, The Montell Williams Show, and international media throughout the world (2002); Preserved client’s constitutional right affirmed by the United States Supreme Court.

State vs. Sims Female defendant charged with felonious assault in infamous Akron Pizza Shop Case, Nationally covered by CNN, The O'Riley Factor and USA Today, client served no jail time (2005); No Jail time.

State vs. Caldwell Criminal gang activity charges dismissed pursuant to an Evidentiary Hearing (2003); No Jail time.

State vs. Anderson Gang charges dismissed (2006); Minimal jail time.
